The President of the Government announced that he will promote the agreement to do away with visas for Colombian citizens that want to travel to the Schengen area at the upcoming EU-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Summit in June. The leaders of Spain and Colombia signed a declaration and various partnership agreements.

The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, announced during a visit to the Renault factory in Palencia that the sale of motor vehicles in Spain rose by 26.1% year-on-year in February. Furthermore, he stressed that the automotive industry accounts for 7% of industrial GDP and is Spain's third-largest export sector.

The Royal Decree Law will help alleviate the effects of the storm from now to 31 May. The damage caused already exceeds 100 million euros, according to provisional estimations. Moreover, the Council of Ministers has allocated 850 million euros to finance the 2015 Employment Activation Programme.
