The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, pointed out, during the government control session in the Lower House of Parliament, in relation to the situation of the nuclear power plant in Garoña, that the government is yet to take a decision but that, before doing so, it will listen "to all those institutions or social groups that have expressed their interest" in this matter.

While speaking about Catalonia during an interview on the "Los Desayunos de TVE" programme, the President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, argued that "we are better together, we are more, we are much better". He also said that this is an important and difficult issue, although they will try to resolve the situation "with the greatest of common sense and balance".

The Council of Ministers also approved tax incentives for the programme to prepare Olympic athletes and the regulation of fluorinated gases with the aim of avoiding greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, it analysed a report on the future regulations to improve consumer protection and transparency in real estate loans. On another note, the government reiterated its offer of dialogue to the Regional Government of Catalonia, as long as it is within the law.
