ARCOMADRID
A key fixture for keeping abreast of the latest in contemporary art, ARCOmadrid returns to the capital from 22 to 26 February for its 36th edition, with Argentina as guest country.
The international fair, which has a well-established reputation for discovering new talent and content, will be a meeting point for 199 galleries. This time round, the event is expected to feature extensive international input, particularly from Latin America, placing ARCOmadrid at the centre of contact and exchange between Europe and Latin American countries. With almost a third of the programme devoted to dialogue between creators, the fair will be showcasing work by young artists including Elena Alonso and Fito Conesa as well as by leading figures like Anna Oppermann, Henri Chopin, Mihai Olos and Robert Breer. A well-rounded programme that includes, as always, the Professional Encounters forum and the Museums Working Session in which 30 directors and art gallery representatives are expected to take part.
