EATING IN MADRID
To promote one of the city of Madrid's biggest attractions, its gastronomy, the Tourism Department at municipal company Madrid Destino (Madrid City Council) has published the Eating in Madrid guide. A guide that reveals how, when and where you can savour authentic Madrid cuisine as you enjoy the capital's distinctive lifestyle and its gastronomic customs.
Eating in Madrid takes you on a tour of the day's main meals, providing information about the habits linked to each one of them. Traditional dishes and recipes, interesting facts, fares from other parts of the world, top chefs, beers and wines Made in Madrid, recommendations from leading figures and all you need to know about the major culinary events taking place in the capital throughout the year are all topics that feature in this guide. Available in both Spanish and English, it can be downloaded from the city's official tourism website, esMADRID.com.

| | Madrid International Jazz Festival
Until 30 November, Madrid is the world capital of the best jazz. The latest edition of the Madrid International Jazz Festival offers fans of this genre more than six hours of music every day and around a hundred live concerts at the Conde Duque and Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa cultural centres, as well as at other venues across Madrid. The programme features leading international figures along with other voices on the Spanish jazz scene, rounded off with a series of debates and lectures, the exhibition “A Chronicle of Jazz in Madrid” and screenings of several documentary films.

New exhibitions on the Art Walk
Two major shows will open this month on Madrid's Art Walk. The Prado Museum will host “Ribera. Master of Drawing” (22 November to 19 February), an exhibition of drawings by the Spanish painter showcasing his technical skill and the originality of his work. The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum will present “Bvlgari and Rome” (30 November to 22 February), which will reveal how the art and architecture of classical and modern Rome have been the source of inspiration for the jewellery and luxury goods brand over the past few decades.

| | Swan Lake at Fernán Gómez
One of the standout works of Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, “Swan Lake”, is coming to Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa to be performed by the Russian National Ballet. This staging of the romantic fairy tale, which tells the story of the love between Prince Siegfried and the bewitched Princess Odette, features an ensemble of top soloists like Alexandra Kriukova, Maria Klyueva, Azamat Askarov and Nurlan Kinerbaev. The production is on until 6 November.

Madrid Productores
More than 90 farmers and food producers will be gathering at the Madrid Productores market, held in Plaza de Matadero Madrid on 26 and 27 November. Visitors will be able to find and sample the finest high-quality organic and artisan products from all over the Madrid region, direct from producer to consumer. There will also be demonstrations, talks, tastings and other activities connected with gastronomy and healthy eating.

Feriarte
The Madrid Art and Antiques Fair commemorates its 40th anniversary as a firmly established event for the sector in Spain and an excellent support platform for antique dealers and gallery owners. The fair brings together a select range of quality items and objects. Christmas at Teatro Circo Price
The festive season is nearly upon us, which means that the city of Madrid is getting ready to host another “Christmas at the Price”, the show with which Teatro Circo Price bids farewell to 2016 and welcomes in the New Year. Wonderful creatures, acrobats, trapeze artists and clowns will be taking audiences on an entertaining journey that will thrill adults and children alike. Tickets for shows, scheduled from 2 December until 8 January, are up for grabs now, with some great discounts of between 20% and 40% on advance ticket sales.
