At the opening of the "La Razón del Empleo" employment forum, Mariano Rajoy noted that the figures in the Labour Force Survey (Spanish acronym: EPA) confirm that "the improvement in the labour market is structural" and that these are the best employment figures since records began. Subsequently, he visited the Tomillo Foundation, an organisation concerned with helping people enter the job market.

While talking in Seville, the President of the Government reviewed the main figures from the Spanish economy and said that Spain has "a promising future" ahead. However, he warned that we cannot "go back to the policies of the past" because more jobs can be created provided that no "foolish steps are taken in terms of economic policy".

The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Algeria, Abdelmalek Sellal, chaired the 6th Spain-Algeria Meeting, which culminated in the adoption of a joint declaration and the signing of partnership agreements on infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, young people, sport and technology.

The total budget for the plan amounts to 4.79 billion euros and consolidates a new model of active policies that match labour supply and demand in an improved way. The government also approved the creation of the Memorial Centre for the Victims of Terrorism Foundation in Vitoria and announced that the Reform of the Public Administration Services has led to a saving of some 29.6 billion euros.
