16/07/2015 Rajoy: "There will be no independence in Catalonia, there simply won't" The President of the Government has said that the Government will ensure that the law is complied with in Catalonia and will guarantee that no citizen has to choose between being Catalan, Spanish or European. His statement came after the meeting with the Polish Prime Minister, Ewa Kopacz, during the 11th bilateral summit between Spain and Poland held in La Moncloa.

15/07/2015 Mariano Rajoy announces debate of third bailout programme for Greece in Parliament ​While speaking in the Lower House of Parliament, the President of the Government announced that, although it is not a compulsory process in Spain, the third bailout programme for Greece will be debated in the Lower House of Parliament because, as he explained, "Spanish taxpayers are being asked to guarantee a significant volume of resources". He also said that "now is the time for the Greek government to be both sensible and responsible" to thus "regain the confidence of its European partners".
