During his speech at the opening ceremony of the 1st International Congress entitled "The Voice of Women in the World", organised by AFAMMER, the President of the Government announced that the Council of Ministers will soon approve a Rural Women Empowerment Plan. He also "strongly" condemned the violence suffered by women all over the world simply for being women.

During an interview on the "Las Mañanas" programme broadcast by RNE, the President of the Government said he feels "very happy" with the unemployment and National Insurance data from the month of March, which were released earlier today. In his opinion, "there has been a change in trend". As regards economic growth for 2015, Mariano Rajoy said it would be "wonderful" if the forecasts from the Bank of Spain were attained, which suggest a figure of 2.8%.

Compensation for death is increased by 50% on average, and for injuries by 35%. The government also approved Draft Laws on the Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, and for the Protection of Food Quality. It also extended the Plan to Support the Retail Trade.
